Welcome to our Blog!

The South Asian Women in Higher Education Network (SAWHE) is a grassroots, community-led initiative that aims to amplify the visibility, voice, and leadership of South Asian women across Higher Education Institutions in the UK.

As part of SAWHE Voices, we are looking for blog submissions on: o Lived experiences in academia o Career journeys into leadership o Mental health and wellbeing o Research in HE

Your Submission: To be considered for publication, your blog submission should not have been published elsewhere. Your submission should be between 1000 – 1500 words and can cover any aspect of your journey or lived experiences in HE. You can choose to focus on one aspect of this experience, or talk through the journey you have had, your allies, the barriers you faced, and your successes. To support those reading your story, please do add in advice, guidance, or things to note as your closing paragraph.

As we would like to capture your authentic voice and journey, we will not be accepting any posts that contain plagiarism, untrue statements, or that have been written by AI. Any posts written to defame or allege behaviours or actions against people or institutions will also not be accepted, and SAWHE will reserve the right to refuse publishing that do not align with its core values and network aims.
